А leading research-based biopharmaceutical company Pfizer is seeking to hire a Chief Accountact.
ABOUT THE JOB:
Responsible for managing statutory and tax reporting ensuring quality, accuracy and compliance with Pfizer and local regulations and SOPs, 2 legal entities
Leading the accounting team and managing complex matrix relations with shared service centers treasury towards periodic closing and reporting processes, ensuring reflection of accurate financial results
Manage statutory activities and makes decisions that are in accordance with Company policies & SOPs, Pfizer Values, & global regulatory guidelines
Act as a business partner for commercial colleagues, provide guidance and recommendations on new contracts and operation, including manufacturing
Have a deep knowledge of statutory and tax legislation, be able to come up with solutions on tax risks mitigation
Be able to manage priorities for the team and work with multiple shared service centers, lead without authority and be focused on simplification and process improvement, act as a bridge between business and shared service center
Contribute to company’s forecasting process – statutory profitability forecast and transfer pricing; with focus on profitability improvement
Manage relationship with Tax authority, support tax audit
Key contact for Statutory audit (annual, Big 4)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor degree in accounting or finance required
Be eligible for CA role from legal perspective
Similar experience – СA/ Deputy CA in large multinational; pharma experience is an advantage; experience with manufacturing contracts
Minimum 10 years of relevant functional accounting or finance experience
Minimum 5 year of experience leading a team
Key ERP and edge system experience preferred — SAP
SKILLS AND COMPETENCES:
Demonstrated advanced technical statutory and tax knowledge and experience; experience with manufacturing; understand the principles of US GAAP/IFRS, the linkage between statutory and international reporting standards
Proficiency with Microsoft O365 suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Sharepoint, OneDrive and Teams) required
Excellent oral, written, and overall communication skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to informally and formally develop and influence staff and senior accountants through coaching/mentoring.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems in an unstructured environment
Strong business acumen and professionalism with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and operations colleagues in all applicable Pfizer Finance and business functional areas
Ability to perform and deliver in areas involving ambiguity
Cooperative and result oriented approach
English (at least upper intermediate).
