The company is seeking a Head of Finance to join growing European fintech company, reporting directly to the Founder&CEO. In this key leadership role, you will oversee the entire financial function, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and control.
You’ll also manage treasury operations, drive profitability strategies, and ensure compliance with taxation regulations. Your insights will be pivotal in shaping the financial direction and strategic growth of the company.
What You'll Be Doing
- Development and management of accounting policies – overseeing the accounting operations, including internal and external financial reporting for multiple legal entities across the UK, Estonia, Spain, and Kazakhstan
- Treasury management – ensuring the effective oversight of all treasury operations, including cash flow management and liquidity planning
- Taxation oversight – managing tax reporting, compliance, and strategy to ensure accurate filings and adherence to tax regulations
- Budgeting and internal controls – leading the budgeting process and maintaining robust internal control systems to safeguard financial integrity
- Payroll management – overseeing payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations
- Regulatory compliance – ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements, including AML/KYC policies, in collaboration with the Compliance department
- Legal agreements and contracts management – working closely with the Legal department to manage and review legal agreements, platform contracts, and ensure proper documentation
- Knowledge of Russian and English languages
What the company is Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as a financial executive (CFO or similar role) within Europe
- Experience in investment companies, family offices, or credit/insurance firms is highly desirable
- Flexibility and adaptability in approach, with a readiness to tackle non-standard and complex tasks
- In-depth knowledge of various European jurisdictions and their financial regulations
- Ability to manage the full financial cycle – including accounting, budgeting, planning, reporting, and taxation
- Strong leadership abilities with proven experience managing and mentoring teams
- Proficiency in Excel and data analytics – able to utilize data-driven insights for decision-making
