ADAMA is a leading global, off-patent crop protection supplier, operating in ~100 countries and providing a wide range of quality differentiated plant protection products and solutions to farmers.
In Russia, the market share, comprising of ADAMA and 3rd party products, including traditional plant protection products and biostimulants. Local strategy is to grow market share, be dynamic, flexible and prepare for a transforming market, whilst achieving sustainable growth.
Role summary:
- This role will have oversight and responsibility for all financial functions within Russia. This role is pivotal to financial success and is a key member of the Russian Management team
- Priorities for the CFO will be: Business Partnering to GM to drive financial based decision making. In tight collaboration with the GM drive transformation and operational efficiencies. Ensuring external reporting requirements are delivered. Monitoring and owning Company’s key operational processes. Ensuring accurate and punctual delivery of reporting requirements from Global and European Finance Leadership. Leading the WP(Budget) & 5YP (Strategic Plan) process at local level; preparing decks for regular business review meetings
- In addition, this position requires the development and implementation of financial and accounting strategies, effective cashflow management, financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, supported by robust processes consistent with local legal and regulatory requirements
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
- Work as the Finance lead and as a key strategic partner to GM to support profitable business growth
- A focus on process improvements, to create a commercial focus together with financial and operational balance
- Work with the management team in the development of local programs and initiatives, including digitalization of document flow, loyalty programs etc.
- Provide strategic advice on operational efficiencies, financial policies, and business strategy. Plus, review and manage from the financial perspective all contracts, including information and advice on or negotiate the financial aspects of any legal disputes or action
- Create annual budgets and forecasts, including identify major drivers and opportunities/risks, monitor performance, and provide the appropriate analysis
- Ensure adherence to national financial and accounting standards and processes. Participate as a resource and subject matter expert with corporate management on best practice and improvements to financial operations
- Where applicable, oversee policy creation and adaptation as it relates to Financial and Operational functions, including but not limited to revenue tracking, client billing and invoicing, commission splits, payables and expense processing and vendor agreements and contracts
- Oversight of daily cash receipts and bank account management and reconciliation
- Able to offer suggestions and challenges where appropriate during team meetings, in and outside, including challenging management assumptions on forecasts
- Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to deliver information and analysis on a timely, and efficient basis
- Help prepare clear, insightful of documents for all key stakeholders to support decision-making process

- Strong understanding of financial management, forecasting, budgeting and business performance measurement systems and an ability to develop, document and execute detailed budgets, forecasts, and effective and practical business plans to drive growth and performance

The following experiences are preferred:
- Experience in the Agro chemical industry or agriculture would be an advantage
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
- MBA or Accounting post graduate degree preferred (ACA, ACCA, CIMA et)

- Support and advise strategic and operational decision making through insights
- Work effectively alongside other business units by being the GM right hand (ready to support & challenge him/her in leading the business)
- Understanding of the business to be a trusted partner and advisor to the GM on Strategic planning and decisions
- Be a business catalyst to improve business performance at other business units (e.g. cost reduction, pricing, procurement)
