A Russian office of the international real estate agency Russia Sotheby’s International Realty with business operations in Russia, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Hungary and Slovenia is looking for an experienced and skillful professional in business operations and processes management Business Operations Officer to join the team.

 

A successful candidate for a Business Operations Officer role is expected to be effective and efficient in:

  • Core specialism, including
  • Designing, implementing and / or transforming sophisticated business processes aimed at delivery of high-quality services (primarily, real estate related deal advisory) to the demanding target audience (i.e. HNWI et al.)
  • Linking business processes with development goals and objectives of the business conducted in diverse cultural environments (including different countries)
  • Modelling and describing business processes to minimize human error and fraud,
  • Understanding and measuring the economic efficiency of changes in business processes
  • Tracking and reporting on the efficiency of operations in near-real time and on a regular basis
  • Additional professional challenges, including
  • Operating within start-up environment and restrictions (including limited funding and headcount, expected self-sufficiency in delivery on many of the responsibilities et al.)
  • Dealing with IT infrastructure and solutions (including so called No Code / Zero Code) to build and maintain IT-aided business process routines for several countries accessible online 24/7
  • Adapting to dynamic environment of real estate deals, which might trigger hectic activities of sales staff and hence resilience and sustainability of all core business routines
  • People matters, including
  • Testing and training staff to successfully apply relevant business practices and IT-solutions
  • Communicating with staff and managing their requests and issues with business processes and routines
  • Advise directors of the company on the issues driven by business processes and communicate to those charged with governance
  • The Business Operations Officer will report to the board of directors and the shareholders. Since the execution of the role suggests delivery upon requirements through a small and efficient team (as a hypothesis, up to 3 people during the first year of operation) of dedicated specialists, a candidate’s willingness and ability to share the team’s workload is expected and appreciated

 

Key requirements:

  • Previous experience as a business operations specialist (manager, controller) or in a similar role (including, but not limited to, a business analyst within software development businesses)
  • Good knowledge of business process management and operations management
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics / Business Management and / or IT
  • Exceptional communication skills (including written communication)
