Country Sustainability secures the integration and implementation of the Ingka sustainability strategy – People & Planet Positive, by both putting demands on the business and being a competent sustainability business partner, while securing localised relevance. The voice and influencers of sustainability both inernally and externally, sitting close to the business where decisions are made

- To be successful in this role you need a minimum 2 years of work experience in sustainability and/or business preferably retail, project management, as well as knowledge of IKEA Brand, culture, values and way of working. Retail market experience is preferred
- You enjoy planning & organising by coordinating and directing activities to help achieve business objectives
- You accomplish goals, complete tasks, and achieve results as you develop virtual and other collaborative relationships to facilitate current and future objectives
- In dealing with ambiguity, you comfortably handle unclear or unpredictable situations
- You are flexible, and you can change direction as appropriate based on new ideas, approaches, and strategies, inspiring and motivating others to accomplish organizational goals
What you`ll be doing day to day:
- Facilitate and support relevant country departments (esp. Commercial & Communication), stores and other applicable units in integration and implementation of Healthy & Sustainable Living part of sustainability agenda in their work and plans, incl. business plan
- Together with the relevant functions create a picture of all the positioning and communication efforts IKEA takes in terms of sustainability
- Secure country adaption of the global direction to drive sustainability initiatives, processes and projects
- Proactively identify challenges and opportunities and support relevant country departments, stores and other applicable units
- Lead sustainability projects and initiatives with different scope, level of complexity and timeframes and ensure that budget and resources are in place
- Follow-up sustainability perception performance and progress, and document and evaluate initiatives and activities to promote continuous improvement
