FMA is the exclusive commercial partner of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the rights cycles 2021-2024 and 2025-2028. FMA comprehensive mandate covers the rights for all major AFC National Team and Club competitions, including the AFC Asian Qualifiers — Road to Qatar, AFC Asian Cup, AFC Women’s Asian Cup, AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifiers, AFC Champions League, AFC Cup as well as AFC youth and futsal competitions. Now you have an opportunity to join the team as an Associate Vice President of Central Asia Operations.

 

The Role

The FMA Operations Department is responsible for planning and overseeing the operational delivery of AFC’s commercial rights (sponsors and media partners) at all AFC events, matches and tournaments.

FMA is seeking a highly experienced events delivery specialist to oversee our broadcast operations and commercial delivery in the Central Asian region.

 

Key Responsibilities

Oversight of operational planning and delivery for Central Asia region, based on centralized processes provided by HK office
Providing key links and insights into regional cultural and sports affairs
Contract-management of key FMA suppliers in the region, including tracking of SLAs, management of costs and invoicing and general quality-control of service delivery
Key broadcast contact with the service provider for Broadcast Managers within the Central Asia
Oversight of commercial responsibilities and their delivery of their obligations
Troubleshooting and issue-resolution in the region
Tracking of overall delivery costs for the Central Asia region

 

Skills, experience and qualifications

Knowledge of the Central Asia football match operations and government regulations
A proven problem-solver in demanding and complex situations, with relevant experience in multiple territories in the Central Asia region
Well-versed on Central Asia’s cultural and sporting affairs
Able to build strong working relationships with clubs and associations in the region to facilitate effective event delivery
Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Able to work calmly and logically in a high-pressure, complex and rapidly changing environment
Understanding of commercial rights management and delivery of on-site rights
Understanding of broadcast rights for and broadcast production of football matches
Must be fluent in both spoken and written English and Russian; other relevant languages will be a strong advantage
Relevant tertiary qualifications required.
