Job Responsibilities:

  • Functions as the leader of the hotel's revenue generation. Area Director of Revenue is responsible for room revenue maximization, revenue forecasting, managing the hotel information on various OTA channels, accurate content about the hotel accross channels. Regular updation of the pricing to achieve the maximum revenue keeping in line with the demand in the market the key function for DOR along with the rate parity accross all online channels. Leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the revenue and reservation function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales objectives, to develop strategies to maximize Revpar, profitabilty and grow market share.

 

Job Requirements:

Financials & Planning:    

  • Presents the Room Revenue, Banquet & Outlet budget Revpar, Spa and other revenue centre budgets to DOSM
  • Ensures that EBITDA margins to be in line with the hotel revenue
  • Ensures RevPar Leadership with consistent ADR increase thereby ensuring highest EBITDA for the hotel
  • Ensure consistent revenue generation through GDS channels

Internal Process:

  • Extracts and analyzes data in order to draw viable/actionable business conclusions
  • Prepares forecasts of revenue, profit, demand and occupancy for rooms and banquets
  • Manages all revenue, profit and demand data associated with rooms and function space
  • Responsible for achieving revenue goals, guest and associate satisfaction and the financial performance of the department
  • Ensures that the BAR & rate slab pricing is fixed as per the schedule
  • Responsible for OTA marketing / promotion plans
  • Conducts competition analysis for effective hotel pricing
  • Creates pricing strategies for revenue miximization during Peak, Shoulder & Lean periods.
  • Ensures to do room revenue forecasting in a timely manner
  • Creates promotional plans to enhance revenue
  • Provides inputs to the sales team pertaining to materizliation through various channels & corporate rate codes
  • Generates revenue reports for revenue analysis on monthly basis
  • Guides the reservation team for effective inventory management to optimize room category revenue generation
  • Ensure prompt & accurate reverts for all roomrelated queries by the reservation team

Customer:

  • Provides customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that may lead to changes in sales strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Develops strong partnerships with local organizations to further increase brand/product awareness
  • Develops and manages internal key stakeholder relationships

People:    

  • Partner with Human Resources to develop departmental workforce plans, hiring schedule, interview and select candidates that demonstrate the TATA and IHCL values along with core functional expertise
  • Assign buddies to new team members and monitor the progress of departmental induction
  • To set department and sub-department goals which is in line with the hotel and department strategies. Communicate goals, conduct Q-Chats (quarterly performance reviews), analyse performance and provide relevant input for training programs
  • Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills
  • Ensures disciplinary procedures and documentation, adhering to the standards of Tata Code of Conduct and values of IHCL
  • Identifies departmental and individual training needs, develops training calenders, conducts training and recommends suitable training programs to address individual capability gaps
  • Participate in certification of team members in key skills. Ensures self and direct report managers attend appropriate core training classes
  • Create a culture of recognition by actively participating in the STARS (Special Thanks and Recognition System) program
  • Create a culture of Trust, Awareness and Joy by conducting departmental meetings, reviewing V-Connect feedback, drawing and implementing suitable action plans
