Аn international Company which provides advanced technology products and services for the gambling and gaming industry is recruiting an experienced professional for the position of Global Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Dubai.
This is a vital position for the Company and the successful candidate must therefore have a strong understanding of current accounting practices, excellent communication skills and proven experience in the sector. You will be acting as a CFO and strategic business partner to the Senior Executive Management Team.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization towards the long-term achievement of operational goals, budgets, and forecasts
Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions
Oversee the day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal control activities of the organization
Lead the development and use of best-practice policies, practices, and tools that ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization with strong fiscal management, project management, cross team communications and workflow
Manage profitability, corporate finance, budget development and forecasting
Ensure that effective internal controls are in place
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and rules for financial and tax reporting are met
Provide Senior Executive Management team with advice on the financial implications of business activities
Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and authorities etc.
Perform risk assessments by analyzing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting the company
Analyze internal operations, identify areas of cost reduction and process enhancement
Manage treasury actively on a day-to-day basis
CANDIDATE PROFILE
University graduate in Accounting, Business Accounting, Finance, or a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, CPA, ACCA etc.
Minimum of 5 years in a progressively responsible Senior Financial role, preferable in online gambling/gaming industry
Proven experience of working with EU Tax legislation. Knowledge of tax and commercial legislation in the United Arab Emirates would be considered an advantage
Ability to think out of the box to resolve issues proactively
Strong analytical and technical skills to deliver accurate financial analysis
Exceptionally good problem-solving skills
Be highly adaptable and flexible
